Privacy Policy

InboxWise is a Chrome extension that helps you write professional Gmail replies with AI. This policy explains what data we handle, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the absolute minimum required for the product to work.

1. Email content

• The content of an email is sent to our server only when you explicitly click "Generate Reply" or "Polish My Draft". We never scan, read, or upload your inbox in the background.
• Email content is forwarded to the AI model provider (DeepSeek) solely to produce your reply or polished draft, then discarded.
• We do not store your emails. Content is processed in memory for the duration of your request and is not written to any database or log.

2. Account data we store

To provide the free quota and Pro subscription across devices, we store:

• Your Gmail address (auto-detected when you use the extension, editable before payment);
• Your usage counter (how many free generations you have used);
• Your subscription status (plan, start and expiry dates).

This data lives in our database and is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for profiling.

3. Payments

Payments are handled entirely by Dodo Payments. We never see or store your card number, security code, or other payment details. Dodo notifies us of the subscription outcome (plan, status, date) so we can activate Pro for your email address. Dodo's own privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.

4. Permissions we request

• mail.google.com access — to read the email you are replying to and insert the generated text into the reply box. This happens only when you click a button in the panel.
• storage — to remember settings locally in your browser.
• side panel — to show the InboxWise interface beside Gmail.

5. Analytics and tracking

InboxWise contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. We do not build usage profiles or fingerprint your device.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep only the account data listed in Section 2, for as long as your account is active. To delete your data, simply contact us (see below) from your registered email address and we will remove your account record. Deleting the extension removes all locally stored settings from your browser.

7. Data security

All communication between the extension and our servers happens over HTTPS. Our backend runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure, and secrets are stored in encrypted Cloudflare secret storage, never in code.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
